Today AitlinCay and I had a day of first times. For example, we both woke up willingly at the buttcrack of dawn (a.k.a. 7:30) which is a first of itself, and went to a dance workshop. I can't say it was my first time dancing, but it was the first time in decades. As I'm only 15, by decades I mean a few years. The dance instructor looked like someone off of So You Think You Can Dance, whereas I looked like a daddy long leg after it's been attaked with gold glittery paint. (Not that I necessarily know what happens when this occurs...) However, it was lots of fun and I then proceeded to prance around everywhere we went like I could actually dance unspiderishly-that-actually-didn't-get-attacked-by-gold-paint.
We then put on QUITE daring outfits and walked through BYU's campus in them. We got several strange looks. We pretended that they were actually thinking "look at those devilishly gorgeous young ladies" when deep inside I actually realize that they were probably thinking "oh my gosh what are they wearing?! I can't be seen walking near these girls!!"
After dutifully studying in the library, we went to a quaint little stand called The Awful Waffle. This, we surprisingly noted, was our parent's first married apartment. Icole-Nay actually uttered her first words and took her first small step for man... IN THE AWFUL WAFFLE!!! The food there, in case you may be wondering, was actually VERY tasty. We had a scrumptious strawberry nutella crepe.
Our parents then picked us up for lunch. Considering dinner plans were at 5, we decided on eating a light snack at a Peruvian restaurant. Mom was very set on eating at an upscale, swanky Italian bistro. Dad, however, had secret motives, and managed to misunderstand our conversation and take us to his favorite chinese place, where a plate is only 4 dollars. Don't know how this happened.
Then, we went to the store to shop for cupcake supplies. While I was there, I noted the HUGEST candy bars I've ever seen!! Those badboys were only 3 for 4 dollars, explaining America's obesity problem. We then baked and decorated the cupcakes. And let me tell ya, they're pretty epic. Actually, they're a step above epic. The recipe was handed down from generation to generation, and it will continue to be handed down many more. We call them Taste the Rainbow. Our great-grandmother in China created them. HAHAHAHA!! Just kidding! We invented them ourselves! (well actually, just a little secret, but we saw a picture of them and thought it would be a lot like being cool if we tried to make them).
To end the day, we decided to do our best first thing of all! We created this step-above-epic blog in which we will faithfully post all of our pathetic moments, and other things we may find worthy of being on this gorgeous blog (designed by AurenLay). Hopefully, posting this should be a lot like living together again as sisters.
